Promises are made through quiet words spoken with fingers crossed behind the back or by statements of conviction sealed with a firm handshake. Which do you prefer?
The value of a promise is dependent upon the character of the person making it.
God reflects His character in His promises. His Word containing thousands of faithful and true promises for those who believe.
When we embrace His promises, we exchange worry and fear for trust in God, gaining peace.

The precious promises in the Bible encourage me and I am grateful to the Lord for His trustworthiness.

Promises for Provision
Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns.He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.” Genesis 22:13-14 NIV
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:31, 33 NIV
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
Promises of God’s Presence
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 NIV
The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” Jeremiah 31:3 NIV
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18 NIV
Promises of God’s Strength
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31
Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you. Isaiah 46:4
I cling to you; your right hand upholds me. Psalm 63:8 NIV
From Genesis through Revelation, God ‘s promises are trustworthy.
Through focusing on God’s unchanging nature and believing His word, our trust in Him grows. Realigning our attitude with God’s promises can bring order to a chaotic heart. We gain inner stability when uncertainty shakes our world. Meditating on His promises restores hope.
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23
