Remember the fun of daydreaming? Gazing at fluffy clouds imagining different creatures in the sky? What a simple joy!
On my walk the other day I couldn’t help but notice the clouds. The bright blue sky made a perfect canvas for a mix of cumulus and cirrus clouds, stirred with the wind.
Cloud watching was great entertainment while on my walk. It allowed some daydreaming, just letting my mind imagine the animals in the sky.
Unfortunately, too often I don’t daydream with the clouds. Are you that way?
Our imaginations grow stale from worry. We easily lose the wonder of thinking beyond what we can see. Simple pleasures get lost. Imagining great things for God become an impossibility.
Daydreaming can reawaken your sense of wonder.
Take a moment to imagine what God can do by His power in your situation. Then turn it into a prayer. Praise him for being bigger than you can imagine. Simple faith can be stirred again.
“Now faith if being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us to Him be glory…” Ephesian 3:19
