What is Collaboration?
Collaboration is the act of working with others on a joint project. It involves mutual consent, cooperation, and communication. I’ve learned more about these skills as I’ve consented to work with other bloggers, cooperated with their time schedules, and communicated through email to accomplish several goals.
Last weekend I attended the Megaphone Summit in Fayetteville, AR, where I presented a workshop on Internet Radio. The conference, sponsored by Arkansas Women Bloggers, is an influencer conference. People from several states gathered to learn about the use of social media and writing online content. It was fun to present the workshop with Vickie Henderson, who also hosts a radio show on the Christian Women Affiliate Radio network.
This was a great exercise in collaboration over miles, as we didn’t have time to polish our presentation.
The Arkansas Women Bloggers encourages bloggers of all kinds. This month, I’m honored to be the “Miss September.” Writing weekly posts for another blog has been a good exercise in collaboration. Check out my posts to learn more about me:
- “Miss September”, where I share about my blogging journey and
- Learning Never Stops” is about lifelong learning of music and piano.
Two more posts on their site throughout September. Check back each week!
Further collaboration occurred through guest posting for other blogs.
- “Hope for the Unseen Hurt” is on author Angela D. Meyer’s blog as she anticipates the release of her next book, Where Healing Starts.
- “Beware of Identity Theft” ,on Gateway of Hope’s blog, is about our identity in Christ.
Stop by those sites, read those posts and be encouraged!
Collaboration takes time and coordination of efforts.
During my quiet time one morning, this verse settled my scattered mind to focus on the next task.
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17
I’m grateful for the opportunities to share on other blogs.
Working together is worth the effort!
